I made a bench that makes you want to touch it with your hands, not just to sit down. "Sugi" carefully grown in the forest is handmade one by one, making the best use of the traditional technique of "polishing log making".

● Partially uses high-quality “polished logs” that are soft to the touch ● Uses thinned wood from Nara Prefecture cedar

It can be used as a living room, a front door, or a porch stool.

① Tree planting / undergrowth mowing ② Pruning / thinning ③ Logging ④ Carrying out from the mountain ⑤ Polishing work <polishing the surface to make it smooth>
⑥ Sun-dried / cold-exposed <brings out the luster>
⑦ Naturally dried soil wall <Dry for over a year to condition the wood>
⑧ Lumber, finish, assembly processing

* Notes There are individual differences in design and size, so please note that they are not exactly the same as the images. Please note that some cracks may occur due to drying.
It is recommended to use it indoors because it changes rapidly over time in places exposed to direct sunlight.

* About back splitting Back splitting is a cut made in the core of an undried coniferous tree <sugi or cypress>. It has been used in pillars such as the Imperial Palace and shrines since ancient times. Since the trees are also alive, they will crack as they dry. Back splitting is a device to minimize cracks on the surface, but cracks still occur.
